Numeric Entry is one of the four question types that appear in the Quantitative Reasoning section of the GRE. The Quantitative Reasoning Section of the GRE consists of 40 questions in all, divided into two sections, each consisting of 20 questions. Each section will be allotted 35 minutes. You can expect a total of 12 to 13 Numeric Entry questions in this section of the GRE exam.
Characteristics
Numeric Entry questions require you to enter your answer in an answer box. If you arrive at a fraction, then you would have the provision for entering such a figure too. Numeric Entry questions are probably the toughest in the Quantitative section of the GRE. Owing to the above fact, you can be assured that you cannot guess even a single answer because you should be manually entering the correct answer after computation down to the decimal values. Hence, practicing such questions is quite essential.
